I have a fairly small yard (live in a townhouse) and didn't want to get a gas-powered trimmer. I had a minor snag as the AC charging adapter wasn't in the box (I bought this from amazon, not Buckeye). Called Black & Decker and had a new one in a few days. The rotating head works perfectly for getting the vertical trimming like along the sidewalk. Weight and balance feel good, not too unwieldy, not too light. Battery life is enough that I can get my front and back yard done off a single charge unless I wait too long between trimming - 3 weeks or so. Bottom line: Super perfect for small yards. If you've got a larger yard and don't want gas-powered, get a unit with removable battery pack and get a spare battery.
